Bei Shen Khor, Yoga Alliance International - RYT 200 & RYT 500
Hi! My name is Beishen.
I have a decade and more of yoga teaching experience. Over the years, I have developed a keen eye and understanding of movements and postures which I use as a tool to help students rectify incorrect posture or relieve pain. I am also attentive and well-versed in different breathing techniques, in which applying appropriate breathing techniques will aid in fostering clarity of mind and reduction of anxiety in students. I mentor each student holistically by identifying and working out what they are most receptive to at the beginning and gradually progress to helping them create body and breath awareness over time.

My journey in learning about yoga started long before I was even interested in yoga - As a young child, I observed my mum learning yoga postures from books and attended group yoga practice sessions at an Indian temple; Later on, as a young adult, I practiced yoga as a way of exercise in different studios for many years before taking the plunge on a Yoga teacher training course.
In 2013, while still working full-time in accounting, I took up my first 200-hours Yoga teacher training. My initial idea of taking up the course was simplistic, I wanted to equip myself with knowledge to practice yoga at home. What started as a side hobby turned into an unexpected passion, and I started teaching yoga since then. 3 years after that first course, I further studied for another 4 years - completed a Level 1 Yoga Teacher Training (350 hours), a Level 2 Yoga Teacher Training (300 hours) and apprenticeship with Jean Campbell, specialising in advanced yoga anatomy. When the lockdown started in 2020, I continued my studies in meditation and some other traditional yoga texts. I am very fortunate and beyond grateful to have studied alongside and been mentored by incredibly generous and kind teachers with in-depth knowledge in Yoga.
More than a decade after my simplistic idea to take up my first teacher training course, I have achieved the goal of having a home yoga practice, yet, the learning has not stopped, yoga has become my lifelong practice and study.
